Overall a good model, wouldn't have bought anything else, highly recommend. One thing i hate is the side coaxial connector, even with their little adapter isn't the best way to run the cable. Overall a decent rate. As stated the audio is ok, but too much of the top end.i ran it through computer speakers so i don't have to hear it. First off the tuner is great, and brings in the hd channels crystal clear. The only slight problem is the lag for them to come in and between channels.not as bad as some i seen, but not as good as others. Also nice would be component outs (audio r/l and video).
I consider this a great value. The picture and sound are fine for late night viewing. I bought this lcd last Christmas to be used in my bedroom. I have no complaints. The sleep timer is very convenient.
It is ideal small LCD TV that fits easily intoany room. Alas,the sound quality was intolerable and we returned the set. Product has all the good attributes Viewsonic can display, exceptfor the sound. It is fine for kitchen, where we planned to use it.
previous purchase of Sharp 32" LCD tv is great This ViewSonic 16" cannot be viewed from below or to the side of the screen or the picture darkens and displays deep shadows. would not purchase any small screen again.
I'll get use to the sound -- after all, it's only used when in the kitchen (when there is a football game on, and you cant afford to miss a play). The audio. After extensive looking for a 16 x 9 aspect ratio small tv set which I could hang above my kitchen countertop and below the kitchen cabnets, I finally came to the conclusion that this was one of the "very" few which there was to choose from.For a lcd tv of this size, it is well endowed with neat features. So, why not five star rating. Even setting the tone controls (in the menu), it still sounds like two tin cans with a string.Several other reviews spoke of this, and I must say that now that I own this set, I concur 100%. If you are listening to voice it isnt "that bad", but dont say you were not warned that the sound is poor. inputs, such as HDMI, S video, etc. Oh, did I also say that it is the only set of it's size catagory with the universal "VESA" mounting capability on it's back side.It looks nice, has a great picture, and fits perfect.
It is simply not very good. Yes, I'm keeping the set, cause it's a pefect fit with excellent picture, and, well. I seldom if ever write reviews, but this will be an exception. The cost of this set is relative inexpensive ($176 from Amazon's dealer, "J&R") and it is a nice looking unit. in fact, the telephone actually has almost as good a sound quality.
